Tony's
1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
Tony's GSX has been with me since the start. Acutally, Tony's
been through three DSM's since the start, each car received the setup from
the last. Most of the fabrication and electrical work on Tony's car was
performed by me. Tony's car represents one of the highest powered cars I've
tuned on a stock ECU. Writing code directly to the ECU's eprom, Tony's GSX
pulled to 9000RPM and ran completely normal on 1000cc injectors. Dyno numbers
were never produced on the stock ECU, however, Tony's GSX had no problem
pulling on 600whp Cobra's through fourth gear.
Tony's car has recently been fitted with a MegaSquirtII ECU with all of the goodies: Launch Control, Boost Control, Fan Control, 4 Bar MAP, etc. As of 2/23/10 I have tuned Tony's car to 482whp at 27 psi on 111 leaded race gas. Lots of room to go, stay tuned.
